Description

Understanding the RJ45 Connector and its Complete Functions

RJ45 is an ethernet cable connector that mostly has a function as a connector on a LAN (Local Area Network) computer network topology and other network topologies.
RJ itself stands for Registered Jack which is a standard equipment on the network that regulates the installation of connector heads and cable sequences, which are used to connect 2 or more telecommunications equipment (Telephone Jack) or network equipment (Computer Networking). Also is a physical interface of the network (network), for the use of telecommunications and data communications.

The RJ45 connector has a function to make it easier to replace telephone sets or make it easier to move around and easy to remove without worrying about being electrocuted and connecting the LAN connector through a central network.

The RJ45 connector has 8 pins. The first pin is on the far left when the RJ45 pin is facing you, followed by pin numbers 2, 3, 4 and so on.

How to attach the cable to the connector:

1. To attach the cable to the connector make sure the cable sequence is correct.
2. Then insert the cable into the RJ45 . connector
3. Next clamp the connector using crimping pliers
4. After that test the cable connection using a cable tester.

Uses of RJ45

RJ45 was created not without a reason, from design to functionality this connector is well thought out. The following are the uses of RJ45, among others:

1. In order to facilitate the transfer of cables if you want to switch one network to another,
2. So that we don’t get electrocuted, whether it’s original electricity or static electricity from the computer.
3. So that we can troubleshoot (check for damage) if there is damage to data transmission.
4. Let us know from the function of each sub cable used, because basically the RJ45 port is connected to the Motherboard and has power from the Power Supply. and it has the power and function of each of these color differences.
